15 minThis apple-nut spread turns humble ingredients into something special, perfect for brunch boards or afternoon snacks.
Microwave apples with dates and sherry until tender, then blend with smooth cottage cheese, cream cheese, and cinnamon into a luscious spread.
Stirring in toasted almonds at the end adds crunch against all that creaminess.
Kitchen Tips
- Process the cottage cheese separately first until completely smooth so you don’t get grainy texture
- Let the apple-date mixture cool completely before blending with the cheese to prevent curdling
- Serve with toasted raisin bread or fresh apple slices for scooping
