| 4 | cups | apples | tart, sliced, peeled |
| 1/2 | cup | water | |
| 3/4 | cup | flour, all-purpose | |
| 1 | cup | sugar | or brown sugar |
| 1 | teaspoon | cinnamon | |
| 1/2 | cup | butter | |
| 1/4 | teaspoon | salt | |
| 1 | x | whipped cream | or cream |
Butter a deep baking dish, put apples,water,flour,sugar and cinnamon in it.
Mix with spoon and spread butter and salt over the apple mix.
Bake at 350 degrees F until the apples are tender and the crust brown,about 30 minutes. Serve with cream or whipped cream

Good and fast and easy and convenient. I let my 10-year old granddaughters do the prep and they enjoyed it. Served with home made ginger ice cream. Good enough to be called a Christmas dessert!

Absolutely amazing... I'm not a baker, but this recipe is foolproof. My husband's favorite is carrot cake and I made it for his 30th birthday with resounding compliments even from those who don't like it. One friend isisted I got it from a bakery!
