I loved this recipe. I made this for my mom after her surgery and she loved it. I only used 1 box of spinach instead of 2 and I used real bacon and not bacon bits, other than that it was great!

I recently came across another way to use up some of those cartons of oats and bags of bran spilling out of my pantry. Brandi of Bran Appetit posted an intriguing recipe for Brandi's Cookie Bars. I used her recipe with a few changes to make cookie bars of my own. Please visit Brandi's blog for the original recipe. And if you're a fan of oatmeal cookies and chocolate, make these now! My wife has an excellent recipe for White Bread brought to this country from her grandmother who was originally from Poland. Makes 5 loaves. Typically, this style of bread would be served with baked ham. However it can go with almost anything. Stale leftovers can make excellent French toast.

"A Contest winning recipe from Oma Rollison (my mother) featured in Reminisce Magazine with her now famous Banana's 'N Cream Bundt cake. A San Diego, Calif. newspaper once dubbed her "The Queen of Country Cooking." (I guess the apple never falls far from the tree.) She's no longer with us, but her wonderful recipes are."

"This cake is a rich, dark, moist fruit cake, very flavorful at Christmas. Try icing with almond paste for a more festive touch. This recipe is started in October or November so as to let it mellow before the holidays. I remember very well my mother storing her fruit cake in an old butter churn that belonged to my grandmother and great grandmother. I wish that I had that old crock."

This recipe isn’t mine. It belongs to Monika, who lives in Hagen, Germany. I asked her to share the recipe around the world because her bread is delicious, and she gave me her approval. This bread is sweet but not too sweet, any salt at all, fine as a dessert, fits to milk soups (photo #9).

Thanksgiving comes to mind! Healthy and interesting recipe. From my MIL's recipes but I think she got this from her SIL! This could be a salad or a side dish and could be made a day ahead and brought to room temperature before serving.

I got this recipe out of a magazine a few years back and I have made it a lot. The person who submitted it said it won her a blue ribbon, she also said she was a six-time Pillsbury Bake-Off finalist. I had no way to confirm this but the recipe sounded good and when I tried it I loved it.

This peach crips are so delicious that I finish the whole thing within a day. I was inspired by "Cookie + Kate" (one of my favourite food bloggers, see her original recipe below). She always comes out amazing recipe ideas and beautiful photos. Don't forget to check her blog out if you love delicious and healthy food as much as I do.
