A simple meatloaf topped with cheese that can be made in advance.

Metric measurements


1pound ground beef, lean
1cup bread crumbs, whole wheat
3tablespoons dehydrated onions *
3tablespoons water hot
teaspoons cajun seasoning *
1large eggVideo lightly beaten
3slices cheese slices, processed *
cup ketchup

In a small bowl, add the dried onions and 3 tablespoons of hot or boiling water. Set aside to re-hydrate.

In a mixing bowl add the ground beef, bread crumbs, cajun seasoning, lightly beaten egg and the re-hydrated onions. Mix together thoroughly.

Add the meat loaf mixture into a loaf pan. Press down to shape. If making ahead, turn out the loaf, wrap in aluminum foil and freeze until ready to use.

To cook:


Turn out the meatloaf onto the one inch rack of a NuWave or FlavorWave oven .

Bake on high for 10 minutes.

From Frozen:

Bake on high for 14 minutes.

Fresh and Frozen:

Cover with foil and cook an additional 5 minutes.

Remove foil and top with slices of cheese and spread with the ketchup.

Cook an additional 3 to 4 minute until the cheese has melted.

Just got my new wave oven and can't wait it use it. Tonight it's homemade pizza and tomorrow it's meatloaf ! I will definitely try this recipe!
