Cranberry, apple and pear, sour and sweet, this is a great sauce to be served with latkes, pork or even turkey.

Directions

Grate pears and apple into a large bowl, using the large holes of a box grater without seeds, place the mixture into a medium sauce pan.

Stir in water, cranberries, honey(sugar), ginger, salt and cinnamon stick; bring to a boil.

Reduce heat and simmer, stirring often, until the pears break down and most of the liquid is absorbed, about 40 minutes.

Serve warm or at room temperature.
