120 minTwo minutes in the microwave. That’s all that stands between you and a pan of silky, melt-in-your-mouth fudge.
Milk chocolate chips and semi-sweet chocolate get zapped with sweetened condensed milk until molten, then stirred smooth with powdered sugar, vanilla, and a generous cup of chopped nuts.
No candy thermometer, no soft-ball stage, no stirring over a hot stove. Just melt, mix, pour, and chill.
The texture is rich and velvety with a clean chocolate flavor that puts those complicated stovetop recipes to shame.
Kitchen Tips
- Stir the chocolate mixture thoroughly after microwaving. It may not look melted, but it will smooth out with stirring
- Use walnuts, pecans, or a mix for the best crunch
- Line the pan with parchment paper for easy removal and clean cutting
- Let the fudge chill for at least 2 hours before slicing into squares
- This makes a great holiday gift. Stack squares in cellophane bags tied with ribbon
