Ingredients

2 1/2 cups water
1 cup rice, converted
1 teaspoon turmeric ground
1 pinch chili powder
1/2 each bay leaf

Directions

Bring water to boil in medium sauce pan.

Add rice with spices, stir gently for 10 seconds.

Cover pan, lower heat to low - cook covered for 30 minutes.

Stir when finished.

Tuna Cakes with Dill Tartar Sauce

This recipe is easy, cheap, nutritious, and my four kids (age 1,2,4, and 5) all eat 2 or 3 of them each time I make it. The first time I made it, I had to double the recipe in a hurry because everyone ate so much. It's even good without sauce.
