50 minThese turkey tostadas give you all the Tex-Mex satisfaction with a fraction of the grease you’d get from frying.
The tortillas bake until crisp while lean ground turkey simmers with jalapeños, tomato sauce, and oregano until thick and saucy.
A sprinkle of cheese gets broiled until bubbly, then everything gets finished with tangy low-fat yogurt instead of sour cream.
Kitchen Tips
- Bake the tortillas until they’re completely crisp (soft spots will get soggy under the toppings)
- Don’t skip simmering the turkey sauce until thick or it’ll make the tostadas messy to eat
- Swap the mozzarella for Monterey Jack or pepper jack if you want more traditional taco flavor
- Add shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, or sliced avocado on top for extra freshness
