This stripped-down tuna pasta salad doesn’t try to be fancy, and that’s exactly why it works.
Cooked pasta and green peas get tossed with flaked white albacore, a bit of red onion for bite, and light mayo to hold it all together.
Make it ahead, stash it in the fridge, and grab a container on your way out the door.
Kitchen Tips
- Rinse the cooked pasta under cold water to stop the cooking and cool it down fast. Warm pasta melts the mayo and turns the salad greasy.
- Use white albacore tuna for the cleanest, mildest flavor in a cold salad like this.
- Let it chill at least an hour before eating. The flavors meld together in the fridge and the pasta absorbs the dressing.
