40 minThese indulgent chocolate pecan truffles start with a simple frosting base mixed with powdered sugar, then get dressed up with a whole pecan tucked inside each ball.
The real magic happens when you dip them in melted chocolate chips, creating a glossy shell that snaps when you bite through to the nutty center.
A sprinkle of chopped pecans on top adds extra crunch and makes them look bakery-worthy.
Microwave the chocolate coating in short bursts for silky smooth results every time.
Pro Tips
- Chill the candy balls in the freezer for 10 minutes before dipping so they hold their shape in the warm chocolate
- Use a fork to dip each truffle, letting excess chocolate drip back into the cup before transferring to the cooling rack
- Work quickly when sprinkling the chopped pecans on top; once the chocolate sets, they won’t stick
- Store in an airtight container with wax paper between layers to prevent sticking
