This punch doesn’t sit in a bowl looking boring. It starts frozen solid and gets smashed into slushy, fruity chunks right before the party starts.

Bananas, crushed pineapple, chopped maraschino cherries, orange juice, and lemon juice get blended with sugar and frozen into a solid block of tropical goodness.

When it’s showtime, you break it up in the punch bowl and pour ginger ale and white wine over the top. As the ice melts, the punch gets slushier, fruitier, and more irresistible with every ladle.

Pro Tips

  • Freeze the fruit mixture in a bundt pan or ring mold for a dramatic presentation when you drop it into the punch bowl.
  • Use a dry or semi-dry white wine. Anything too sweet will push the punch into sugar overload territory.
  • Make the frozen base a day or two ahead. It actually improves as the flavors meld in the freezer.
