Chopped franks get mixed with kidney beans, onion, green pepper, and sweet pickle, then bound together with sour cream and a kick of hot sauce.
Pile the whole thing onto split dinner rolls, hit it with grated cheddar, and you’re done. No stove, no oven, no sweat.
It’s a throwback recipe that’s as fun to eat as it is to say.
Kitchen Tips
- Chill the mixture for at least 30 minutes before serving so the flavors meld together.
- Swap in spicy pepper jack for the cheddar if you want extra heat.
- These make great game day snacks or easy summer lunches when you don’t want to turn on the stove.
