Think of these as the chili dog’s cool, no-fuss cousin.

Chopped franks get mixed with kidney beans, onion, green pepper, and sweet pickle, then bound together with sour cream and a kick of hot sauce.

Pile the whole thing onto split dinner rolls, hit it with grated cheddar, and you’re done. No stove, no oven, no sweat.

Directions

Chop franks.

Add kidney beans, onion, green pepper and pickle.

Mix with sour cream and hot sauce.

Chill.

Spoon mixture on bottom half of roll; sprinkle with cheese; replace top roll.

Serve with dill pickles.
