This was a family favorite when I was growing up and became a must-have with my young sons. Zesty thick chili served over Fritos - This recipe will become a family favorite!!!

Directions

In large skillet, cook onion, celery, bell pepper and corn (if using) in oil til tender but not brown.

Add beef; brown lightly.

Add remaining ingredients except chips and cheese.

Simmer uncovered for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

Serve over corn chips, top with grated cheese.

This was a good recipe with what my family felt was much better the second time with 1 small can of tomatoe paste. Original receopie tasted too pastee.

Very tasty and yummy recipe, with all of the things that you should not eat. My hidden desire....thanks for the delicious recipe!!

Highly recommend using half the amount of tomato paste. If you follow the directions you end up with what more closely resembles a meaty spaghetti sauce.
