| 3/4 | pound | ground beef, lean | |
| 1/2 | cup | onion | chopped |
| 2 | tablespoons | green chili peppers | diced, canned |
| 1 | clove | garlic | |
| 1 | teaspoon | chili powder | |
| 1 1/2 | cups | tomato | chopped |
| 3 | tablespoons | salad dressing, italian, low-fat | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | seasoned salt | |
| 8 | each | taco shells | |
| 1 | cup | lettuce | |
| 1 | cup | mozzarella cheese | part-skim, or low-cal prosse cheese, shredded |
| 1/2 | cup | taco sauce |
In a large skillet cook ground beef, chopped onions, green chili pepper; and minced garlic over medium heat till beef is brown.
Drain off fat.
Stir in chili powder.
In a mixing bowl combine chopped tomato, Italian salad dressing, and seasoned salt.
Spoon beef mixture into taco shells.
Top with tomato mixture, shredded lettuce, shredded cheese, and taco sauce.

It’s pretty amazing how in five seconds a new year can begin but you still feel the same. Sure your surroundings may drastically change (especially if you’re at Times Square in New York) but you don’t feel different. That’s the magic of New Years ...
I have eaten a great deal of stuffed peppers in my life and these are the best. Who would have guessed walnuts, green olives, raisins...? There are some strange things in there but what a great taste they made. I added a can of diced tomatoes and a cup of salsa. I like mine more moist. After eating them I felt the walnuts although nutritious were hard to find. I wonder how some water chestnuts would be? My hat is off to whoever developed this recipe. Thank you!
