Throw everything in the slow cooker and walk away. This is the weeknight dinner that makes you look like a genius without breaking a sweat.

Tender turkey mingles with crisp broccoli, cauliflower, and yellow peppers while sweet and sour sauce turns sticky and glossy. The rice cooks right in the pot, soaking up every bit of flavor.

In the final half hour, pineapple chunks and mandarin oranges go in to keep their texture bright and juicy. No soggy fruit here.

Kitchen Tips

  • Use leftover Thanksgiving turkey or rotisserie chicken for even faster prep
  • If your slow cooker runs hot, check after 5 hours on low to prevent mushy rice
  • Want more vegetables? Swap in snap peas, water chestnuts, or baby corn
  • The second bottle of sauce added at the end gives you that restaurant-style glossy finish
