These sturdy biscuits combine whole wheat flour, rolled oats, and powdered milk for a hearty base, then bacon drippings and beef stock bring the kind of meaty aroma that’ll have every dog in the house sitting at attention.
Baked low and slow until firm and crunchy, they’re built to last in a zip-top bag for weeks.
Chef Tips
- Swap beef stock for chicken stock if that’s what you have on hand. Dogs aren’t picky about their broth.
- Let these cool completely on a rack before storing. Any trapped moisture makes them go soft and moldy faster.
- For smaller dogs, drop by teaspoons instead of tablespoons and reduce baking time by about 10 minutes.
