3 hrsFudge that actually works, every single time, without a candy thermometer in sight.
Melt chocolate chips into sweetened condensed milk, stir in powdered sugar, vanilla, and chopped nuts, then spread it into a pan and chill. That’s the whole recipe. Three hours later you’ve got dense, rich, melt-on-your-tongue fudge that looks like you spent all day in the kitchen.
It freezes for up to six weeks too, which makes it the ultimate holiday gift or make-ahead treat.
Kitchen Tips
- Melt the chocolate over low heat and stir constantly. Scorched chocolate chips are bitter and grainy with no coming back.
- Line the pan with wax paper so the fudge lifts right out for easy cutting.
- Use a sharp knife dipped in hot water for the cleanest squares.
- Walnuts or pecans are classic, but toasted almonds or macadamias work beautifully too.
