30 minThis retro strawberry frosty brings back the joy of classic American soda fountain drinks with a fun gelatin twist.
The hot water dissolves the strawberry Jell-O completely, creating a smooth base that blends seamlessly with cold milk and ice cream to form a thick, spoonable shake.
Each sip delivers intense strawberry flavor with a velvety texture that’s somewhere between a milkshake and a float.
Chef Tips
- Use full-fat ice cream for the richest, creamiest texture
- Make sure the gelatin is completely dissolved before adding milk to avoid lumps
- Blend in batches as directed to maintain proper consistency
- Top with fresh strawberries and whipped cream for an extra-special presentation

Add half the strawberry ice cream and blend until smooth.
Pour into tall glasses.
