Amazingly Soft Oatmeal Cookies

Soft and delicious. I made half of the dough with both dark and golden raisins (soaked & drained) and the other with dried cranberries and chopped walnuts. Perfect.

Directions

In a medium bowl, cream together butter, white sugar, and brown sugar. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.

Combine flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon; stir into the creamed mixture. Mix in oats. Cover, and chill dough for at least one hour.

Preheat the oven to 375℉ (190℃) F (190 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.

Roll the dough into walnut sized balls, and place 2 inches apart on cookie sheets. Flatten each cookie with a large fork dipped in sugar. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in preheated oven.

Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

your mass/weight measuring units don't make any sense, last time I checked ml millilitres, were the units for measuring liquids.

Also the popups are annoying and the product they are advertising is added to my black list.

JC: Just grabbed my Cuisipro dry measuring cups to check it out (stainless purchased in Canada) and right on the handle it states "1 cup (236 ml)" That seems to closely match the recipe measurements listed. Also checked some dry measuring cups from Lee Valley (Canadian company) and on the handle it states "3/4 cup - 180 ml". Not sure where you are buying your dry measuring cups that don't list the ml as well as US measurement.

And checked a recipe in Canadian Living magazine, looks like their measurements are a bit off: 1 cup diced onion;250 ml - 2 tbsp flour;25 ml, 4 cups chicken stock;1 litre. They're using dry cups and liquid measurements in ml too.
