| 1/4 | cup | water | cold |
| 2 | each | egg yolks | |
| 1/2 | cup | sugar | granulated |
| 1/2 | cup | brown sugar | packed |
| 1/4 | cup | flour, all-purpose | |
| 1/4 | teaspoon | salt | |
| 1 | cup | water | boiling |
| 1 | tablespoon | butter | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | vanilla extract | |
| 3-4 | each | bananas | |
| 1/2 | cup | heavy whipping cream |
Early in day: In saucepan, mix cold water with egg yolks; stir in combined sugars, flour, and salt.
Gradually add boiling water, stirring briskly.
Cook, stirring, 3 to 5 min., or until smooth and thick.
Add butter and vanilla; cool 5 min., stirring occasionally.
Pour into baked pie shell.
Refrigerate till serving time.
To serve: Slice bananas over filling.
Whip cream; spread over all.

it may be to my personal taste, i used chilli peppers instead of jalepenos and it was still overly spicy. so just be careful. the spicy drown out most of the flavour
