40 minWhy settle on one snack mix when you can make five?
This clever recipe gives you a single buttery cereal-and-noodle base, then lets you pick your own adventure with five distinct seasoning combos.
Go tropical with cashews, coconut chips, and ginger. Keep it classic with Worcestershire and seasoned salt. Fire it up with chili powder and hot sauce. Get fancy with herbed pecans. Or take it global with curry and red pepper flakes.
Each batch bakes in about 25 minutes and makes roughly 7 ½ cups of crunchy, addictive snacking.
Variations
- Tropical: Cashews, coconut chips, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger for a sweet-savory island crunch.
- Barbecue: Peanuts with Worcestershire and barbecue seasoning. Smoky, salty, gone in minutes.
- Hot & Spicy: Peanuts, chili powder, garlic, and hot sauce for the heat seekers.
- Herbed Pecan: Pecans with parsley, thyme, celery salt, and onion powder. Elegant enough for a dinner party.
- Curry: Peanuts, curry powder, red pepper flakes, and onion salt. Warm, earthy, and seriously snackable.
Pro Tips
- Stir at least twice during baking so everything toasts evenly and nothing burns on the edges.
- Spread on foil to cool completely before storing. This is what gives it that satisfying snap.
- Double the batch for parties. Trust me, one round is never enough.
