25 minThis ain’t your grandma’s leftover turkey hash. Well, maybe it is, but with the volume cranked way up.
Ten cloves of garlic. Worcestershire sauce. Fish sauce. Soy sauce. All of it hitting a hot skillet with chopped smoked turkey and mashed potatoes until everything crisps up golden and caramelized around the edges.
The umami in this thing is absolutely stacked. Every forkful has that deep, savory punch that makes you close your eyes and just nod.
Twenty-five minutes, one pan, and enough flavor to make your whole kitchen smell like a reason to get out of bed.
Pro Tips
- Don’t stir too often. Let the hash sit in the pan long enough to develop a real crust on the bottom before flipping.
- Top with a fried egg for a hearty breakfast or brunch situation. The runny yolk makes its own sauce.
- The fish sauce (nuoc mam) is the secret weapon here. It doesn’t taste fishy once it cooks down, just deeply savory.
