This no-fuss seafood pasta salad is the kind of recipe you throw together for a last-minute barbecue side or a quick weeknight dinner when it’s too hot to turn on the stove.

Shrimp and crab sticks get tossed with elbow macaroni, crunchy red bell pepper, celery, and onion, then bound together with a tangy blend of Miracle Whip and coleslaw dressing.

Fifteen minutes of prep, a couple hours in the fridge, and you’ve got a cold salad that’s creamy, crunchy, and satisfying all at once.

Chef Tips

  • Rinse your cooked macaroni under cold water to stop the cooking and keep it firm. Nobody wants mushy pasta in a cold salad.
  • Let it chill at least 2 hours so the flavors have time to come together. Overnight is even better.
  • Add a squeeze of lemon juice to brighten everything up if the salad tastes flat after chilling.
