60 minBreakfast sausage adds sage and spice to this classic bread dressing that stuffs a 10 to 12 pound turkey perfectly.
Chicken broth and beaten eggs bind everything together while baking creates golden, crispy edges around moist centers.
Bake in a separate dish or stuff directly into your bird for traditional holiday flavor.
Kitchen Tips
- Use day-old bread torn into irregular pieces for better texture than fresh bread
- Brown the sausage completely and drain excess grease before mixing
- Add extra chicken broth if the mixture seems too dry; it should be moist but not soggy
- For crispier dressing, bake uncovered for the last 10 minutes
