| 1 | cup | brown sugar | firmly packed |
| 1/2 | cup | water | hot |
| 1 | cup | raisins, seedless | |
| 2 | tablespoons | butter | |
| 4 | tablespoons | cider vinegar | |
| 1 1/2 | teaspoon | worcestershire sauce | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | salt | |
| 1 | x | black pepper | freshly ground |
| 1/4 | teaspoon | cloves | ground |
| 1/8 | teaspoon | mace | |
| 1 | cup | currant jelly |
Simmer the brown sugar and water together for 5 minutes, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Add all remaining ingredients, and cook until jelly dissolves. Simmer an additional 10 minutes. Maybe made in advance and kept refrigerated until ready for use. Reheat slowly until simmering.
Looking for a raisen sauce to go with my Easter Ham dinner..great flavor ..reccommend it highly

General:Bay Leaves come from the sweet bay or laurel tree, known botanically as Laurus nobilis. The elliptical leaves of both trees are green, glossy, and grow up to 3 inches long....
Works well for Bread Bowls, too. Excellent flavor, easy to make.
