| 4 | each | pork chops | |
| 1/2 | cup | mushrooms | sliced |
| 1 | x | salt and black pepper | |
| 1/3 | cup | green bell pepper | sliced |
| 1/2 | cup | water | |
| 1/4 | cup | red hot pepper sauce (eg. Tabasco) | |
| 2/3 | cup | ketchup | |
| 1 | tablespoon | worcestershire sauce | |
| 2 | tablespoons | scallions, spring or green onions | chopped |
| 1 | teaspoon | sugar | granulated, optional |
In a large iron skillet, brown pork chops on both sides until golden brown, about 4 minutes per side.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
To the pan, add water.
Spread ketchup on top of chops.
Add green onion, mushrooms, green pepper, hot sauce, worcestershire sauce and sugar, if used.
Bring to a boil.
Cover. Reduce heat.
Simmer 45 to 50 minutes until chops are fork tender.
Taste. Adjust seasonings, if necessary.
Serve immediately.

This recipe is almost exactly like my mother's recipe with one exception. Instead of rolling the balls in Cinnamon Sugar, she sprinkled the cookies with powdered sugar immediately after baking. They were scrumptious. Have to try this way as it sounds just as good!!!
