| Crumb base | |||
| 1 1/4 | cups | oats, quick cooking | uncooked |
| 1/2 | cup | brown sugar | firmly packed |
| 1/2 | cup | nutmeats | chopped |
| 1/3 | cup | butter | or margarine, melted |
| Chocolate filling | |||
| 1/2 | cup | butter | or margarine, melted |
| 1 | cup | powdered sugar | sifted |
| 2 | ounces | chocolate unsweetened | melted, cooled |
| 1 | teaspoon | vanilla extract | |
| 2 | large | eggs | |
For base, combine oats, sugar, nutmeats and butter, mixing until crumbly.
Place in a shallow baking pan.
Heat in preheated moderate oven (350 degrees F) about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Firmly press 3/4 of mixture into an ungreased 8-inch square baking pan.
Set aside remaining crumb mixture for topping.
For filling, beat butter and sugar together until creamy.
Blend in melted chocolate and vanilla.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Spread evenly over crumb base.
Sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture.
Freeze until firm. To serve, cut in pieces.

This was very moist & tasty. I used about 1/2 teaspoon of seasoned salt & thought that it could use a little more.
