| 1 | cup | sugar | granulated |
| 1 | cup | brown sugar | firmly packed |
| 1 | cup | butter | softened |
| 2 | large | eggs | |
| 1 | tablespoon | vanilla extract | |
| 2 | cups | flour, all-purpose | |
| 1 1/2 | cups | oats, quick cooking | |
| 1 | teaspoon | baking soda | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | salt | |
| 2 | cups | chocolate candies | |
| 1 | cup | peanuts, salted | coarsely chopped |
Combine granulated and brown sugars, butter, eggs and vanilla in a large mixing bowl.
Beat with an electric mixer at medium speed, scraping the sides of the bowl often, until light and fluffy, about 2 to 3 minutes.
Add flour, oats, baking soda and salt.
Beat at low speed, scraping sides of bowl often, until well-mixed, about 2 to 3 minutes.
By hand, stir in candy and peanuts.
Drop dough by scant 1/4-cupfuls 2 inches apart onto greased cookie sheets.
Bake in a preheated 350-degree F oven until light golden brown, about 14 to 18 minutes.
