Directions

Put oatmeal into a food processor and blend until it is ground to a fine powder.

Cream butter and both sugars.

Add eggs and vanilla.

Mix together with flour, oatmeal powder, salt, baking powder and baking soda.

Add chocolate chips, grated chocolate bar and nuts.

Roll into balls and place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet.

Make about 112 cookies.

Bake for 6 minutes at 375℉ (190℃).

I have for 35 years been using the QUAKER OATS OATMEAL COOKIE recipe that is/was on their QUAKER OATS container which I tweaked slightly by adding chocolate chips, chopped walnut/pecans It seems to be very similar & may I add very yummy

can these cookies be made gluten free?

I think you can use gluten-free flour to make these cookies, I haven't tried it yet, but I don't see any problems to be gluten-free here.
