Don't worry, it's quite painless. :)
| 1 1/2 | cups | biscuit baking mix (bisquick) | |
| 1 1/2 | cups | cheddar cheese | shredded |
| 3/4 | cup | milk | |
| 1/4 | cup | maple syrup | |
| 1 | tablespoon | sugar | |
| 2 | large | eggs | |
| 12 | each | bacon slices | crisp, cooked, crumbled |
Grease and flour microwaveable pie plate, 10x1 1/2 inches.
Beat baking mix, 1/2 cup of the cheese, the milk, syrup, sugar and eggs with wire whisk or hand beater until only small lumps remain, pour into pie plate.
Place pie plate on inverted microwaveable dinner plate in microwave oven.
Microwave uncovered on high, rotating pie plate 1/4 turn every 2 minutes, until most of top no longer appears doughy, 5 1/2 to 7 1/2 minutes.
Sprinkle with remaining cheese and the bacon.
Microwave uncovered on inverted plate just until cheese is melted,1 to 1 1/2 minutes longer.
Serve with maple flavored syrup if desired.

This is really, really good. I made it for the first time today. I used 3/4 cup Splenda and 3/4 regular sugar. I had to add more lemon juice than this recipe called for in order for the berries to have enough juice to pour. It does make a large quart, so be forewarned.
