| 1 | pound | ground beef, lean | |
| 4 | each | bacon slices | |
| 1/2 | pound | ground pork | lean |
| 1/2 | pound | ground veal | |
| 1 | cup | bread crumbs | fresh, wheat |
| 2 | large | eggs | lightly beaten |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | tomato juice | |
| 1/2 | cup | onion | chopped |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | marjoram | |
| 1/2 | cup | sweet bell pepper | chopped |
| 1 | teaspoon | salt | |
| 1/4 | teaspoon | black pepper | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | oregano | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | basil | |
| 1 | tablespoon | worcestershire sauce | |
| 1 | x | lea and perrins |
Mix eggs, breadcrumbs, onion, V8 juice, green pepper and seasonings in a large bowl until well combined.
Add meat, 1/4 pound at a time, and mix until combined.
Shape into two round loaves and place two strips of bacon in an X across each.
Place on a rack in a roasting pan and bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour.
