These vintage candies bring together cream cheese, melted chocolate, and fluffy marshmallows into bite-sized treats that taste like fudge met coconut macaroons.

Rolling each spoonful through coconut creates a snowy shell that contrasts beautifully with the dark chocolate interior.

Chill them until firm and watch them disappear at cookie exchanges or potlucks.

Kitchen Tips

  • Soften cream cheese completely before mixing to avoid lumps in the candy mixture
  • Melt chocolate gently over hot water, not boiling, to prevent scorching or seizing
  • Use a cookie scoop for uniform portions that roll into neat balls
  • Store in the refrigerator between layers of parchment to prevent sticking
