| 1/2 | pound | pinto beans, dried | |
| 1/2 | pound | black beans, dried | |
| 1/2 | pound | lima beans, dried | |
| 1 | each | smoked ham hock | |
| 1 | x | salt | to taste |
| 2 | cloves | garlic | minced |
| 1 | large | pimiento | chopped |
| 1 | medium | onion | chopped |
| 1/4 | cup | blackstrap molasses |
Soak beans for 2-6 hours in cold water. Drain water & replace with with fresh water. Bring water to a boil slowly. Add salt & pepper, ham hock, onion, pimento, and garlic. Reduce heat to Medium and cook for 1 hour. Be sure to stir frequently. Add molasses at this point & cook for 15 minutes more. Excellent with ham or pork.

We made this recipe two days ago, it was very nice and light flavour, we served them with sour cream, it tasted great, and we also took the recipe's photo that has already been shown in this recipe, my husband and I both love it.
