| 3/4 | cup | butter | |
| 2 | cups | jam | |
| 2 | teaspoons | baking soda | |
| 3 | teaspoons | cinnamon | |
| 2 | teaspoons | cloves | |
| 2 | teaspoons | nutmeg | |
| 3 | large | eggs | |
| 15 | ounces | raisins, seedless | |
| 1 | cup | nutmeats | |
| 1 | x | figs | as desired |
| 1 | x | dates | as desired |
Mix all ingredients together well except jam.
Lastly, gently stir in the 2 cups jam.
Pour into greased and floured 9 inch round cake pans.
Bake in 325 degree oven for 35-40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
If desired, serve caramel icing.
