| 4 | cups | bread cubes, dry | |
| 1/2 | cup | butter | or margarine, |
| 1 | medium | onion | grated |
| 1 | teaspoon | salt | |
| 1/4 | teaspoon | black pepper | |
| 1/4 | teaspoon | poultry seasoning | optional |
| 1/4 | teaspoon | sage | optional |
| 2 | tablespoons | water |
Place oats and bread cubes in large bowl.
Combine remaining ingredients.
Add to oats mixture; toss gently to mix.
Stuff lightly into body cavity and neck region of turkey.
Roast according to standard roasting directions.
