Ingredients

3/4cup butterVideo room temperature
1cup sugarVideo white
1cup brown sugarVideo *
4large eggsVideo
1/2cup cocoa powderVideo
1 1/2cups flour, all-purpose
1/2teaspoon salt
1/2cup sourdough starter *
1tablespoon vanilla extractVideo
3/4cup chocolate (semi-sweet) pieces or chips*
1/2cup nuts chopped

Directions

In bowl of electric mixer, cream butter and sugars.

Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.

Stir dry ingredients together.

Combine starter and vanilla, add alternately with dry ingredients to sugar mixture.

Spread in greased 11 1/2x7 1/2x1 1/2 inch pan.

Sprinkle chocolate and nuts on top.

Bake in preheated 350 degrees F oven 30 min.
