Hearty Beef Ragout

Ingredients

3 pounds beef chuck, boneless, cut in 1 inch pieces
1/3 cup flour, all-purpose
2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
8 ounces sausage links, precooked, cut into 1 inch pieces
2 cups leeks chopped
3 each celery stalks, cut up
3 each potatoes peeled, cubed
16 ounces tomatoes whole, canned
1 teaspoon oregano
2 each garlic cloves, minced
1/2 cup vegetable stock or chicken or beef
1 teaspoon flavoring
2 tablespoons flour, all-purpose
3 tablespoons water

Directions

Wipe beef well. Combine 1/3 cup flour with salt and pepper. Toss beef cubes with flour mixture to coat thoroughly; place in crockpot. Add remaining ingredients except 2 tb. flour and the water in order listed; stir well.

Cover and cook on Low setting for 7 to 12 hours. One hour before serving, turn to High setting. Make a smooth paste of 2 tb. flour and the water; stir into crockpot, mixing well. Cover and cook until thickened.

I think Id lost my mind if I didnt have this recipe! hehe! This is the most outstanding mocha coffee mix that I have ever had! Im in Arizona and you can use it after you make it in cup of hot water and use it for ICE COFFEE in Summertime!!! excellent stuff!
