| 1 | cup | vegetable shortening | |
| 1 | cup | brown sugar | |
| 1 | cup | sugar | white |
| 1 | teaspoon | vanilla extract | |
| 2 | large | eggs | |
| 2 | cups | oatmeal | |
| 1 | cup | coconut | |
| 1 | cup | gum drops | |
| 2 | cups | flour, all-purpose | |
| 1 | teaspoon | baking powder | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | baking soda | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | salt |
Blend crisco and sugars, add vanilla and the beaten eggs.
Add the dry ingredients and mix well.
Roll in small balls, put on baking sheet and press each one down with fork.
Bake in 375 degrees F. oven 10 min.
