Fruit medley punch: a pink party bowl of puréed strawberries, apricot nectar, and citrus, fizzed up with ginger ale. Crowd-pleaser for showers, brunches, and holiday tables.

A punch bowl mainstay that covers weddings, baby showers, graduations, and Christmas brunches with one blushing, fruity pour. Strawberries get puréed and thinned with apricot nectar, cold water, fresh lemon juice, and orange juice concentrate for depth that frozen orange alone can’t match.

A full cup of lemon juice might read bold, but it’s the keystone. Without it, the combination of strawberry and apricot skews sickly-sweet fast, and the lemon pulls everything back into bright, balanced territory.

Ginger ale goes in last and slowly. Pouring it down the side of the bowl preserves the fizz and keeps the punch from foaming over. Adding it too early flattens the whole batch into syrup.

A decorative ice ring does double duty: it looks festive floating in the bowl and it melts slowly, diluting the punch far less than ice cubes would. Freeze sliced strawberries, lemon, and mint into the ring the day before for a Della Robbia-style garnish.

Kitchen Tips

  • Chill every ingredient before mixing. Room-temperature liquids flatten the soda and melt ice fast.
  • Strain the strawberry purée if you want a clearer punch. Leave it unstrained for more color and body.
  • For adults, float a bottle of prosecco or dry white wine in place of half the ginger ale.

Variations

  • Swap apricot nectar for peach or mango nectar for a different stone-fruit angle.
  • Use sparkling water instead of ginger ale for a less sweet, more refreshing version.
  • Add a splash of grenadine for deeper red color if the strawberries look pale.
