| 5 | each | carrots | sliced in sticks |
| 1 | cup | beef broth | |
| 18 | ounces | mixed vegetables | as desired |
| 1 | x | salt | |
| 1 | x | black pepper | |
| 1 | x | marjoram | |
| 1 | x | thyme |
Brown the meatcubes in the butter shortly; add onions and leeks and sauté shortly.
Put all in casserole dish.
Add the carrots and the broth, season with salt and pepper.
Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
Add the vegetables, cut up, and simmer another 30 minutes.
