Melted German milk chocolate gets beaten into cream cheese and folded with whipped topping, then the whole thing goes into a store-bought chocolate wafer crust and straight to the freezer.
The finish is what makes it special: three reserved squares of chocolate, melted and drizzled right over the top in glossy streaks.
Pull it out 30 minutes before serving and let it soften just enough to slice cleanly.
Kitchen Tips
- Use German milk chocolate (like Baker’s German’s) for the richest, smoothest melt. Regular milk chocolate chips work but the flavor is milder.
- Soften the cream cheese fully before beating. Cold cream cheese leaves lumps that won’t smooth out once the whipped topping goes in.
- Freeze for at least 3 hours, or overnight for the cleanest slices. A hot knife run under warm water makes cutting through the frozen filling much easier.
Variations
- Peanut butter swirl: Drop spoonfuls of warmed peanut butter over the filling before freezing and drag a knife through for a marbled effect.
- Cookie crust: Swap the chocolate wafer crust for an Oreo crust or a homemade graham cracker crust.

Directions
HEAT all but 3 squares of the chocolate with ¼ cup milk in large microwave bowl at HIGH 1½ to 2 min.
Stir until completely melted or, heat in heavy saucepan over very low heat.
BEAT in cream cheese, sugar and remaining milk.
Gently stir in whipped topping until smooth.
Spoon into crust. Freeze until firm.
REMOVE from freezer.
Let stand 30 min. at room temp. until you can cut easily.
MELT remaining chocolate about 15 seconds; drizzle over pie.
