Ingredients

3/4 pound beef round steak boneless, trimmed and cubed
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
4 medium potatoes peeled, cut into 1 inch cubes
5 medium carrots cut into 1 1/2 inch chunks
1 each celery stalks cut into 1 inch chunks
1 large onion cut into 1 inch chunks
14 1/2 ounces tomatoes, stewed, canned
3 tablespoons tapioca quick cooking
1 teaspoon browning sauce
1 x black pepper
1 cup green peas frozen

Directions

In a Dutch oven, brown the steak in oil.

Add the next eight ingredients; cover and bake at 300 degrees for 4-5 hours, stirring twice.

Add the peas during the last 30 minutes of baking.
