118 ml sour milk
Date filling:
118 ml dates

Directions

To make the date Filling:

Add the dates, brown sugar, cornstarch, and water in a small saucepan, cook until thick, stirring constantly.

Remove from the heat and set aside.

To make the batter and assembling:

Mix the first five ingredients together thoroughly.

Dissolve soda in the sour milk, add to other ingredients and mix well.

Put half mixture in pan and cover with date filling.

Put rest of mixture on top and press down.

Bake in 350℉ (180℃) oven for 25 min.

Cool completely on a wire rack, then cut into the squares.

where is the date mixture directions? dates are not listed in the ingredients!
