Ingredients

1 pound ground beef, lean
1 tablespoon butter
1/4 cup onion minced
1/4 teaspoon garlic
16 ounces tomato sauce 2 cans
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup sour cream
1 cup cottage cheese creamed
1 1/4 cups carrots sliced, cooked
8 ounces noodles medium, cooked and drained
1 cup cheddar cheese, medium shredded

Directions

Brown the ground beef in the butter and add the onions and garlic.

Stir in the tomato sauce, salt and pepper.

Combine the sour cream, cheese and carrots.

Add the combination to the noodles and mix.

Alternate layers of the meat mixture and the noodle mixture in a 3-quart casserole, beginning and ending with the noodle mixture.

Top with the cheddar cheese.

Bake at 350 degrees F for at least 45 minutes and serve hot.

$25,000 Chili

I tweeked this recipe a bit. If you use chorizo instead of the pork, cook the meat in olive oil, drain the meat, add some sliced serrano peppers, use habenero sauce for the hot sauce, and use a can of tomatoes with habeneros, and leave out the beer. It is very good.
