Crockpot Lemon Chicken

Ingredients

4 pounds chicken pieces
1/4 cup flour, all-purpose
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
6 ounces lemonade frozen concentrate, thawed
3 tablespoons brown sugar
3 tablespoons ketchup
2 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons cornstarch
3 cups rice cooked
1 1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions

Combine flour with salt; coat chicken thouroughly. Brown chicken pieces in oil and drain. Stir together lemonade, sugar, ketchup and vinegar. Place chicken in crockpot and pour lemonade mixture over it. Cook on high 3 to 4 hours.

Drain liquid into saucepan; add cornstarch and boil till reduced. Pour gravy back over chicken; serve over rice.

Simple and easy recipe, using the ingredients on hand. I used only 2T of brown sugar and added onions and garlic. Not that spectacular, though. I cooked it on the stovetop, so that could have made a little difference.

This was so easy and quick to make. It was a bit too sweet for me but my husband and kids loved it!

Butternut Squash and Pearl Barley Pilaf

Fairly nice recipe, I used my leftover butternut squash, and these mixture were really tasty, it really impressed me, with fresh lemon zest and lemon juice, mixed well with cilantro leaves, it is a great recipe. I will make it again later for sure.
