20 minPigs in a blanket, leveled up with a gooey cheese core.
Slit each hot dog down the center, stuff it with strips of cheese, then wrap the whole thing in crescent roll dough and bake. The cheese melts into every crevice while the dough puffs up golden and buttery around the outside.
Kids go absolutely wild for these, and they’re ready before halftime.
Chef Tips
- Don’t slit all the way through the hot dog. Leave about half an inch at each end so the cheese stays put.
- American cheese melts best for this, but cheddar or pepper jack work if you want more flavor.
- Place cheese side up on the baking sheet so the melting cheese bubbles on top instead of running out the bottom.
