Pull-apart bread that practically makes itself? Sign us up.

Refrigerator biscuits get quartered, rolled in a savory mix of melted margarine, shredded cheddar, bacon bits, green peppers, pimentos, and onion flakes, then piled into a cake pan.

Twenty minutes in the oven and they bake into a golden, cheesy mountain of bite-sized pieces that tear apart with a satisfying stretch.

The colorful flecks of pepper and pimento give it that confetti look, and the bacon adds a smoky edge that makes one piece turn into five real fast.

Kitchen Tips

  • Make sure every biscuit quarter gets a good coating of the cheese mixture. Toss them in the bowl rather than just rolling for more even coverage.
  • Pack the pieces snugly in the pan so they bake together into one cohesive pull-apart loaf.
  • Serve warm straight from the pan while the cheese is still melty and stretchy.
  • Swap the cheddar for pepper jack if you want a spicy version.
