Ingredients

2 cups fish, cod cooked, flaked
1 each egg beaten
1 dash black pepper
1 tablespoon butter melted
1 1/2 cups potatoes mashed
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 tablespoon onion juice
1 x canola oil

Directions

Mix cod, egg, pepper, butter, potatoes, salt and onion juice.

Beat until smooth.

Shape lightly into small balls and deep fry in hot oil until golden brown, approximately 1 minute.

Drain on paper towels and serve with lemon slices and cocktail sauce, if desired.

Serves 4 as a Main dish.

Serves 8 to 10 as an Appetizer.

Carne Guisada

This is a delicious recipe! I made it with pork chops instead of stew meat and used Swanson's canned chicken broth instead of water and used fresh garlic instead of garlic powder. It was absolutely delicious. The longer it cooks (on low heat), the better it tastes. I let it cooks for 2 hours and it was fabulous. Thank you for this recipe!
