Ingredients

1 cup cocoa powder
1 cup water hot
2 cups brown sugar
1 cup molasses
1 cup vegetable shortening
2 each egg yolks
1 teaspoon baking soda heaping
1 x flour, all-purpose to make soft dough
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon cloves
1 teaspoon allspice

Directions

Add hot water to cocoa and soda. Let stand while preparing other ingredients. Cream shortening, adding sugar gradually. Add beaten egg yolks, molasses and cocoa mixture. Sift spices with flour and add. Roll soft as possible. Cut with cooky cutter. Bake in hot oven. Egg whites may be used to make icing for cookies.

Note: Hot oven is 350 - 400 F.

Lamb Curry with Yogurt

Yummy. Loved the creamy taste and consistency. Wouldn't hurt to add some more spice, either via chili powder or more green chilis ground in. Also, more than 2 cloves of garlic would be fine, too. Eli Hamlin
