Chocolate Chip Orange Scones

Ingredients

2 cups flour, all-purpose
1/3 cup sugar granulated
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter unsalted, chilled
2 large eggs
1/4 cup orange juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon orange zest grated
3/4 cup chocolate chips miniature
1 each egg white mixed with
1/2 cup water for glaze, optional

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees; butter a 9-inch circle in the center of a baking sheet.

In a large bowl, stir together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.

Cut the butter into 1/2-inch ted into the center comes out clean.

Remove the baking sheet to a wire rack and cool for 10 minutes.

With a spatula, transfer the scones to a wire rack to cool.

Recut into wedges if necessary.

Good As Gold Chicken (Like Kfc's and Boston's)

Tasty but I think it needed a little more salt or maybe another tablespoon of honey to give it that extra flavour. Maybe next time I'll add some soy sauce. I'll try the recipe slightly different next time and see how we go.
